McClain County commissioners today issued an emergency ban on outdoor burning. The ban prohibits all outdoor fires, including outdoor welding and barbecuing. The McClain County Department of Emergency Management and a majority of fire chiefs in the county asked for the ban because of a moderate to severe drought combined with windy conditions.
